Oct 2014 TX SERI Tour

The Post is hosting a Tour of the Texas Sustainable Energy Research Institute at the UTSA Main Campus, One UTSA Circle, San Antonio, TX 78240 on Thurs, Oct 23, from 1 to 2:45 pm.

DESCRIPTION

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) created the Texas Sustainable Energy Research Institute to partner with the community and contribute to a new energy future that builds on a diverse resource base to position San Antonio as a significant contributor to the 21st century global energy economy.

The Institute integrates scientific discovery, engineering innovation and policy deliberations with pragmatic implementation and a commitment to multicultural traditions to realize the promise of tomorrow's America as a global energy leader.

This tour will include some of the on-going research at the Institute as well as a discussion/presentation on Cyber Security issues being worked there.

The tour is limited to 30 participants. Attendees will assemble at the AET Building, 1.100C at the UTSA Main Campus at 12:45 pm so that we can start the tour promptly at 1:00 pm.

RESERVATIONS

The is no cost for the tour. The tour is open to all interested.

DIRECTIONS

The tour agenda and a map to the Institute is at http://www.same-satx.org/docs/2014seritour.pdf. Park your vehicle in the UTSA South Parking Garage; you will be provided a validation coupon to cover the cost of parking after completing the tour.

CANCELLATIONS

You can cancel your field trip reservations right up until the ticket sales deadline, Wed, Oct 22, 10am.

You can cancel your reservations by sending an email to the Event POC at dkochanek@satx.rr.com.

Please be sure you receive a confirmation after your request a cancellation. If you do not receive a confirmation, contact the event POC at (210) 884-9731.
